Design sketch review

Technical sketch notes

Hand-drawn style front and back sketch used to review zip construction, trims, and artwork positions.

Front/back hand sketch first, with zipper alignment, pocket symmetry, and trim notes pulled into a review board.

  • Check front zipper alignment and pocket symmetry before approving the bulk sample.
  • Match the light contrast hood panel shade to the approved sample image.
  • Lock chest artwork scale so the graphic stays balanced around the zip opening.
  • Confirm red hem rib and cuff rib width against the body fabric.
  • Review back number print position and sleeve artwork placement before production release.

Production review board

Material, artwork, construction, and release checks.

Material / trim

  • Fleece or French terry body with light contrast hood panel.
  • Red hem and cuff rib are reviewed against the visible sample.
  • Zipper, drawcord, label, and packing trims are confirmed before bulk.

Artwork / construction

  • Chest artwork crosses the zipper and needs balanced left/right placement.
  • Back number print remains centered below the hood panel.
  • Sleeve artwork placement is checked before production release.

QC release checks

  • Check zipper function, front length match, and pocket symmetry.
  • Confirm hood center seam, rib width, artwork height, and sleeve print placement.
  • Inspect labels, folding, carton marks, and approved-sample match.

Project Brief

The product used a zip-front construction with large artwork, contrast hood fabric, sleeve print details, and multiple trim decisions. The risk was zipper alignment, pocket symmetry, artwork placement, and fabric shade consistency.

How We Built the Production Path

We treated the hoodie as a trim-and-construction project, confirming zipper, drawcord, rib, hood contrast, artwork position, and label package before moving the approved sample into bulk planning.
